Introduction to Snow & Glacier Travel
Students will learn skills to be able to travel in a roped team on a glacier. They will be introduced to crevasse rescue systems, proper use of ice axe, crampons and ropes.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this course, you will be able to be part of a roped team traveling on a glacier. You will be able to use the knowledge learned here to apply to other course components such as Introduction to Rock Climbing and Squamish Rock Climbing. You will understand basic rope rescue systems.
